Earth and Ink
Organic shapes in ochre, olive green and terracotta, crossed by fine black lines. These abstract paintings start from something I have seen in nature, a shoreline, a pairing of colors. I take details away until only color, line and empty space remain, and I decide where each patch and each line goes by trying it on the paper. The lines come last.
