Everyday Still Lifes

Ceramic jugs with bare branches, coffee cups, open books, lemons, pears, green apples: ordinary things, arranged simply. I keep the colors close to earth tones, with a little blue, and leave plenty of empty paper around the objects. The black line comes last, as in all my work, and it follows an edge: the rim of a cup, the neck of a jug, the spine of a book.
