Quiet Coast

The sea, oysters, a lighthouse, a sailboat, a stork, a woman with her cat looking out at the water. I look for the line where sky meets shore and paint what is left when I take the details away: a horizon, a patch of sand, a few shapes. Blue and grey do most of the work, with ochre and sand where the land comes in.
